Meta decided to release their model for free because they know they can't compete but to be honest anthropic and open AI are also going to be going out of business eventually as well. Meta is now also not pulling in enough money to EVER catch up to their debt. it's only a matter of time before all three of these companies are done. the only AI companies that will survive are likely Microsoft and Google because they have sufficient other investments and business revenue to cover their losses which are major as well. Mark Zuckerberg was very shortsighted and spent too much time surfing and buying gaudy and disgustingly ugly gold chains instead of working on his companies and being less shortsighted
