@deen_speaks: Did you know that a solar eclipse occurred on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet ﷺ, passed away? Some people began saying that the sun had eclipsed because of his death because of how significant and beloved he was. But the Prophet ﷺ corrected them and said: “Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone.” So an eclipse isn’t a sign that someone important has died, nor does it mean something good or bad is about to happen. Rather, it’s a reminder of Allah’s عظَمة and His power. When we see an eclipse, the Sunnah is to turn back to Allah - pray Salat al-Kusūf, make Dua, remember Allah and seek His forgiveness. #solareclipse #eclipse #islamicreminder #muslim #hadith
