Random, for all veterans who have any pain (which I’m sure most of yall have) ask your PCP ABOUT THE MEDICAL MASSAGE THERAPY! Have a referral put in for that & it’s honestly helped my husband with his chronic pain. Go thru community care. VA didn’t tell me this, I have to research to everything for him to exhaust all Va options to help him live quality of life. 🫶🏼🙏🏽

It only applies to improvements related to being disabled. Ramps, doorways, lowering counters. Plumbing and electrical upgrades for medical equipment.

I applied to be my husband’s caregiver and I was denied. He has a lot of medical issues and bad seizures. He cannot drive anywhere. But this is very helpful cause we have a closet that I really want to turn into a bathroom for him and it be a walk in shower cause of his seizures.

I had to work completed yet however I did get approved for the HISA grant. I got approved by going through occupation therapy and physical therapy. My primary care sent me to those.
