As a goat farmer, and a girl who rehabilitates multiple species i will always call, but I also know my ability for care and know the proper methods to rehabilitation for most animals such as deer, coyotes, and many rodents. I will always call, but I will always help if needed.

my sisters about to be licensed!! her boss loves us both and has taught us so much. if i see injured wildlife i know enough to get it to a safe place where humans or other animals can’t touch it, get it water/animal safe electrolytes, and wait for my sister to come

i’ve saved a few animals and i’ve provided them with food and water and warmth before handing it over to a rehab centre, and all of the times i’ve done it, it has done more good than harm

I called so many bird rescues for a goose but nobody took geese then the goose went into the pond and got attacked by an alligator

On Halloween next year, I was out with my friends and we were dumpster diving and my friend threw a pot at this baby kill deer and I just stopped hanging out with them. I picked up that little baby deer brought it to my house put it in a cat crate and called the nearest wildlife sanctuary as soon as I could in the morning and brought him there, he now lives there because his tendons in his wing were ripped and unable to be fixed. I named him Batman and I go and visit him at the wildlife sanctuary all the time and there is a little plastic sheet that has my name and a picture of me holding this baby killed in a cat carrier when I brought it in to the wildlife sanctuary. 😞

What do we do if the vets don’t pick up? I tried to help a pigeon and I couldn’t drive to the vets so I tried calling and they didn’t help :( idk what happened to it but I left the pigeon infront of a community centre to hope someone would’ve helped it

If a local rehab refuses to take an injured animal I find, what should my next step be? This isn’t my current situation, but it happened back in my teens and it resulted in the passing of a baby goose, I’d like to be prepared

i remember I was taking a walk and this squirrel was walking like it's dizzy and I realize it's foaming and then it bit a cat and I ran back inside because it had rabies

I have rehabilitated baby birds whose mom got killed we helped rehabilitate a deer with a broken leg why? Bec I called every rehab in my area and got left a voicemail so I spent 3 hours researching everything I could started helping the animal and kept researching so I could do my best

if it's a baby squirrel. or something small like that. don't let dogs near it. my dog didn't do it on purpose but my dad used to rescue squirrels as he would cut trees and one time my dog knocked over the thing that were in and tried to pick up the squirrel to take it to my dad but since he was a German shepherd and didn't understand his own strength, he killed it.
