I substitute teach! I get to pick and choose how much I work, I am on my kids schedule. I don’t sub for the same ages as my kids so it’s different.

Hear me out. I have considered this for a while though not done it. A hobby job. 8 hours a week a shift they struggle to fill at a local place. A coffee shop or a a little boutique or restaurant

I work 12 to 24 hours a week. One to two days as a nurse I get a long car ride listen to my own music or audiobook both ways and get to talk to my coworkers (who are also great friends) for 12 hours without having to worry about anything but myself. It’s the perfect balance 🥰

I have your answer , go online and look up “ name of your city, moms clubs” and promptly join one. I’m on the board for my local moms club and it really helps, we do community service work, we have game nights for moms, play dates for kids and for me filling my need a job cup with being on the board but i’m still at home and can bring my littles with me everywhere.

I work a set-my-own schedule, WFH as needed but have my own desk in a shared office, part-time but creative job. The pay is bad, but otherwise its an absolute unicorn and I'm so happy to be working again.
