Grief is like carrying a rock in your pocket. It’s always there and it never gets lighter, you just get stronger.

You always have had your Moms best interest. You respected her wishes. I think you have been a wonderful daughter.

Your mom knew you would do what was in her best interest. Doesn’t make it easy for anyone but she knew you would do what is best no matter how hard it was. Knowing what will happen doesn’t make it any easier especially for a loved one. Your feeling are valid and you shouldn’t question your choice. She isn’t mad at you, she loves you for looking after her and following through with her choices

I’m sorry for this tremendous loss. I think you have done everything right, however, you are your worst critic. Give yourself grace.

Oh honey, give yourself some grace. It was your mom’s choice and the right one. Nurse here for almost 40 years. Your mom made the right choice. You were there for her. That’s all that matters

It's totally different when they're both gone. It's like you're orphaned. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this, especially so closely to your dad's passing. Prayers continue

You made the right decisions. Your mom knew when it was time and you knew exactly that this was her time to cross over. You did an amazing job caring for your mom she was loved and is experiencing all external love and freedoms from her disability on the other side. Please always look for the signs. She will show you she’s still very much around

It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. My GGma was unconcious at the end. Woke up, looked at me and said “Christi, he said I’ve been set free.” Then fell asleep and died. I knew we all made the right decision to stop treatments and let her go. But grief is long. It’s ok. Grieve. Being medical, is not the same as making human decisions for your loved ones.

You made the right decision because she asked you this.

You did the right thing. She has specific requests that she wanted you to uphold. That alone is hard. Such a heavy burden, but realize, it’s their wishes. So hard, because it comes with guilt and only time will process that.
