I think the whimsy movement is so important because we are the generation of information and having the knowledge that no other generation has been able to access so easily that we have lost so much of the fun in our lives we are so criticised and undermined that talking to people around me I see the lack of hope and belief in ourselves I’m so happy we are pushing to be less online and to just enjoy what we have because it can only get better when we are in power

unfortunately money will alway be the issue. Soling the social problems costs money, and spending more there, means spending less on other stuff, which will get those people mad. Im hoping the future is bright but history tells us when money is involved people get really nasty

And then there's people who want sharia law, purity culture, women covering up and religious values in laws. And people against queer rights, abortion, women not prioritizing family and kids, who think war is not that big a deal, etc

I Like your mindset and am absolutely like the idea of hope and a new future. On the other hand What about rightwing politics and I think There Are still people out there who will just want to have power no matter what and will just make use of it. There are also people who do not think critical as There Are always and will always be there

I keep coming back to the trinity of faith, love, and hope. I see hope as the connecting force between the other two. Faith gives you something to believe in & love gives you something worth believing in +hope gives both of them movement. I find it interesting to think that every generation might have lived these three differently and given more weight to one of them. Faith may have been stronger at one point and love at another. Hope might simply take on a different meaning depending on what a generation is facing. for ours, I think it lies somewhere between uncertainty and transformation and creates a distance between reality and possibility. within that distance there is room to move, to create, to love, to believe and to try again
