Don‘t understand the problems you all seem to have. Just relax and trust your Gyn! It doesn’t hurt, It’s just a bit uncomfortable but in a 2 secondes done!

i just had mine done, it was uncomfortable but wasn’t too bad, i had a really nice nurse do it who told me to tell her if i felt uncomfortable and she chose a smaller speculum which helped massively

No no no. Please once you’re done with school doing it the way some man made up decades ago do it right. He should have one hand gently opening the labia to see. Visualize the urethra, stay away. Speculum in horizontally so there is no internal and sometimes external dragging/pain. Insert pushing downward slightly to the end of the canal. Open the speculum and find the cervix. Collect sample. Pull back open until cervix is out of the grasp, then release the open traction, pull out gently. I CANNOT BELIEVE THEYRE STILL TEACHING THIS BS.
