@charlesswanson05: On August 3, 2019, Andre and Jordan Anchondo went to the Walmart in El Paso, Texas, with their two-month-old son, Paul Gilbert. They had recently celebrated their wedding anniversary. It should have been an ordinary family outing. Instead, their family was caught in a mass sh**ting. When the g*nfire erupted, Andre and Jordan reacted as parents first. They used their own bodies to protect their infant son, putting themselves between the baby and the danger. Jordan was k*lled while protecting Paul. Andre was also k*lled while trying to defend his wife and their newborn. But their son survived. That detail makes their story especially painful. Paul was only two months old — far too young to understand what happened or why his parents would never come home. He survived because, in the most terrifying moment of their lives, Andre and Jordan chose to make themselves the shield between their child and the threat. They had only recently celebrated their anniversary. They were young parents beginning their life together. And in a matter of moments, their son became the surviving piece of a family that had been there together only minutes earlier. Andre and Jordan weren't famous. They weren't trained rescuers. They were a husband and wife protecting their baby. Their final act was an expression of the most instinctive kind of love a parent can show: protect your child, no matter what it costs you. Their son survived. Andre and Jordan did not. Their names deserve to remain attached to the little boy they protected with everything they had. 🕯️❤️for educational purposes only #fyp #supportourvetrans #supportourtroops #foryourpage

In this country the people who take lives are remembered far to often than their victims.

God bless them, they had the courage to do, exactly what all parents hope they will have the courage to do. I pray the good Lord holds them close. And allows them to be angels to their child, in death as they were in life. ✌️🙏❤️😢
