It’s not allowed to state these fatāwa where the Shaykh رحمه الله obviously lacked some context regarding the way animals are slaughtered in America and that America is more a secular nation than a Christian nation. They don’t practice ritual slaughter anymore. So the meat is considered mayyit and najas so Haram. BarakAllahu feekum

Interesting viewpoint, however in these Countries there many Halal options so why settle for Jewish/Christian Meats. The Fatwa/Ruling is correct however unfortunately many Muslims which will abuse and take advantage of it without having the correct Fear of Allah as required.

akhi delete this, this is an old fatwa. These countries don't even consider themselves christian anymore and they don't slaughter their animals except for the few orthodox countries like Cyprus and maybe Russia. The only type of meat that is allowed to eat in the west is halal and kosher, but this will make people think that eating any meat is okay. Delete this for the sake of Allah.
