All these canals and man made bayous are causing damage all over the parish. They sign off on permits and then don’t want to hear about it again until it goes to court. This needs to be addressed. Thank you for speaking out on this issue!

The Canal runs behind our house and we have been saying that they needed to put culverts in for 30 years! We get sink holes from it and we have lost several feet of usable property so far../

there is a man i know here in Slidell named Adam (i won't share his last name publicly) who is dealing with this same issue between his property and the old country club golf course. for years he has been ignored over it by the city.

This is also happening in so many of the ditches in this parish. They come through and dig them deeper and deeper and wider until they are digging just under the edge of the road. I live in a more rural area and cars going to these deep ditches frequently. There’s absolutely no shoulder in some places. And in some places, the edge of the road is actually apsing.

I can tell you exactly why the Parish doesn’t care, The South Slidell and West Slidell Levee. French Branch, Crossgates, Turtle Creek, all of Military Road is outside of the levee system being built.

Stop it. I had a nightmare that I was with my cousins who LIVE IN SLIDELL, and it got absolutely flooded out it was a disaster
