the helicoil does not last. but actually u can use a longer bolt and put a nut behind. or use a steel insert.

Next time put some lube in and maybe the caliper in a vice too. Going 2 turns and one half turn back breaks up the debris inside. Glad it worked tho

Yup. Had the exact same thing before my last track day. Changed pads and rotors, threaded fine. Went to tq and just spun, pulled it out and all the threads came out with bolt. Just got a new carrier
