Cheating should be illegal when you are married. A contract is broken, you should be able to sue for pain and suffering. Too much of it is going on and there needs to be punishment.

I really appreciate how you have used your painful experience to become an advocate for others. I experienced a lot of emotional cruelty, although not infidelity in my marriage. It was very scary for me to leave, but I did and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Not one person has screamed at me since and it’s been 4 1/2 years. I also found a partner who is incredibly kind and loving and gentle, and I’m grateful for that every day.

I stayed for my son who was 12 at the time - happened again only now I uncovered many affairs overlapping the entire marriage - my son is 20 and thanked me for staying when he was younger but is disgusted with his father

I used to judge people that stayed out of fear. The way I looked at it was they were being disrespected and stayed anyway. Now I know people will leave when they are ready. That’s it

My mother and father made all three of his girls, get an education and a good one, so they would never have to rely on a man. I love them for that in many other things.

You said this perfectly...I relate to this so much...I was married for 17 years before I went through the divorce...mine was not betrayal, but then I really don't know if that's true...he was a narcissist...so controlling, controlled the finances, verbally and physically abusive...it took so much courage and a lot of prayer to get the divorce...and a miracle from God that got me out...🥰

Me to. I endured a lot of abuse and he abused our older sons. It breaks my heart now that I discover more about it and I felt like I had nowhere to go. Yes very much alone great analogy.

Geez, I was same way. Zero confidence, stayed in abusive relationship from 21-31. Wasted the “pretty.” However, when I had courage to leave…my life began.

I got divorced twice and never had to work thank God. I also bought a ton of things before I filed and hid them, from shampoo and makeup to soap, razors, shower gel, coffee etc etc and you can buy gift cards at the supermarket! Plan it out ladies.
