@hallo_its_molly: I am thrilled! My surgeon stitched me up so nice! It feels so good to let it breathe for a minute. Showering, cleaning the area and then I will apply silicone scar tape. I went back to work today for the first time and it felt so good! Thrilled to be healing up nicely and overall feeling good! #thyroidectomy #thyroidproblems

My scar is completely invisible now. My surgeon had me wear a scarf whenever I was in the sun even tho it was the summer. He also had me get vitamin k scar cream

Mine is almost invisible. Make sure you use a good scar cream and massage it every day so the scar tissue doesn’t get/stay lumpy.

I had mine removed 9 years ago! it definitely faded a bunch and flattened out. I didn't do anything with it ( I was 12 at the time) but it has healed great imo

I got an infection. started as dermatitis, then to cellulitis(on the surface) and staph infection inside. Just over year out now and looks great considering, half of it had to be cut open with scissors
