English has so many different dialects, and in the Southern US it's common to see the /l/ in yolk pronounced. If you look at the etymology of "yolk," it derives from the Old English word "geolca" which came from "geolu," the word for yellow. It's perfectly reasonable that some dialects have retained the /l/ in the pronunciation 😊
