As some one who went from Staten Island to West Seattle its kind of true. The layout of the houses and streets are very similar, very suburban for a city. The attitude (not politics) are similar in a sense that people are more openly nice to people compared to the the rest of the city.

The West Seattle/Staten Island part is definitely wrong. I’ve lived in West Seattle for 27 years. It’s a 20 minute commute to downtown, getting more urban by the day. Relatively expensive. In fact, I think it’s one of the hottest spots in Seattle right now. It’s no more conservative than the rest of the city. I would say it’s fairly similar to Magnolia but more urban.

As someone who is from west Seattle and lives in nyc (Brooklyn) naaaah. Not accurate. West Seattle gives Long Island or Brooklyn vibes to me. Staten Island is Mercer island / Bellevue. NJ is anywhere south of Seattle lol

Mercer island is the fanciest place so that is accurate. West Seattle is only accessible by bridge or a long drive so that also seems correct
