this actually looks wonderful and my mom would sometimes make stuff from scratch and get fancy and then sometimes we would get boxed easy dinners like this especially if she was burnt out or wanted a break she worked 40hrs a week we usually always had salad on the table too loved sloppy joes she would usually get the canned mamwhich mixer thou

Daddy would make a au gratin potatoes and add hamburger meat and we’d have bread and butter and that was our meal. Of course that was 45 and 50 years ago. Those were like gourmet meals for us and people now would call that a poor man’s meal, but I’ll call it delicious🤭

Wasn’t quite complete til that fruit cocktail came out. 😂Dessert was always canned fruit/jello or chocolate pudding.

Omg, I grew up on meals very similar to this!! Right down to the french-style green beans & bowl of fruit! 😂🥰

I still make those boxed potatoes and my family loves them! Granted I add sliced squash and more ingredients but always a hit! Not always enough time for homemade!
