The only time I got food stamps was during Covid, and they gave you $320 for each kid for the summer. I bulked bought meat and staples. Splurged for stuff I normally didn’t buy. As long as people aren’t going hungry, why does it matter if they get stamps or not? It’s there for a reason to help those who meet the criteria.

I work 70 hours but my kids are grown and I’m here to say it sucks and I don’t recommend it but putting 2 thru college is stupid expensive. This world sucks that is all.

If my tax dollars help at least one kid, one family, it’s worth it! Mind you, I’ve been debating on applying myself bcuz I can barely afford just basics and dinners in my house of 4. And I am paid over our “minimum wage”. Rural living and buying/storing (main issue) bulk is hard to do too. Don’t have space and it takes nearly an hour to get to bulk store. Over half of my biweekly paycheck goes to food and necessities like toilet paper and body wash/shampoo. Let alone school supplies and clothes… toothpaste, hand soap, laundry and dish soap… love ya babe. You just keep pushing. We’ve got you

Corporations scam way more off our dime than anything else. We pay more in taxes too. It should be us against big companies, not us against our own. Feeding, housing, clothing, & caring for each other makes us all rich 🥰
