Why do people think life stops in prison ? They eat, sleep, talk to people, tv time, friends, alcohol, drugs, gambling, jobs, educational classes, some have tablets (Facebook, website access), they get snacks, yard time, some have family weekend visits (Conjugal visits)… life moves on in prison … the only time life stops is death penalty.
