Not surprised at all. I was on depo for 9 years starting at 12 by order of children’s aid, I was breaking bones non stop, sick all the time, gained weight and couldn’t stand, it took me two years to recover once I got off it.

I've had the shot after I gave birth to my son in 2023... I bled for 6 months straight and it was extremely heavy, skipped a month and then continued to bleed for 21-24 days a month for the rest of the year, doctor shrugged and said "It's just a side effect"

I was on it for maybe a year or two? I felt INSANE. I was actually crazy and gained a bunch of weight. The whole experience scared me so much, that I refuse any form of birth control except copper IUDs
