@sarahcordiner: Stop Asking, “What Might Go Wrong?” What if people judge me? What if they criticise me? What if I embarrass myself? What if nobody responds? We spend so much time imagining everything that might go wrong that we forget to ask a much more powerful question: What might go right? What if your post helps someone? What if your message gives somebody the answer they desperately need? What if your experience helps another person avoid a painful mistake? What if your story gives someone the courage to change their life? And what about all the people who may one day say, “Thank you—I needed that”? That is what we need to focus on. 1️⃣ Get Over Yourself I say this with love. The fear of visibility usually begins with: “What will people think about me?” Turn the mirror around. There are billions of people out there worrying about their own problems, their own fears and what others think about them. They’re not waking up every morning thinking about that slightly embarrassing post you shared yesterday. 2️⃣ Focus on Service, Not Judgement When you focus on yourself, you see risk. When you focus on the people you could help, you see responsibility. Your knowledge, experience and story could support someone—but only if you’re willing to share them. 3️⃣ Give Yourself Permission to Be Seen You don’t need to be perfect to make an impact. You need to show up. Speak. Teach. Share. Help. The right people don’t need a flawless version of you. They need the real message you’re currently too afraid to publish. Stop focusing on what might go wrong. Start focusing on who you might help, whose life you could change and what might go brilliantly right.
