I am still here praying for my husband to grow up cos this is a man that was intentional when he made his intention known that he wants to settle down that he had played and flirt a lot but now he wants to have a family but now that we together he plays the role of a baby father instead of a husband .. I am now a married single mother .. he provide food and shelter but breaks me down to the lowest … his friends and his sister are the one who has his time and affection… and the most frustrating part is that hd knows exactly what to do to make a happy home but he still ptiotixe the happiness of his friends and extended family.. so am done praying… when am financially buoyant to take care of me and my children I will leave

This hit me hard. I’m 46 and just found out the man I’ve been with for 16 years and lived with for 14 has been in another relationship for 3 years and is now engaged and getting married to somebody else in the fall. I had no idea she even existed. I lost my mom last year and while I was grieving one of the biggest losses of my life, I was still loving, supporting and pouring into him because I believed he was my partner. When I felt something was off and asked if there was someone else, he told me no. Now he says there hasn’t been an “us” for years. I feel completely used and betrayed. At our age, you know when you’re withholding the truth and allowing someone to keep pouring into you. This one hit home.
