I taught for 21 years. Not once did I start out my year with my students and parents as “Hi, I’m a heterosexual woman and this is why.” Why is it so important to educate them on your sexuality and gender? That’s not why we’re there.

As a nonbinary nanny otw to being a teacher, this is awesome! My 10 y/o nanny kid regularly corrects his little sister on my pronouns - it’s really not as hard or crazy as some people make it seem! Hope your year goes great :)
