I had strep so often I had to BEG my doctor to take out my tonsils at 21. Diagnosed with lupus, fibromyalgia, hidradenitis suppurativa, eczema, and endometriosis 😭

I lost count of how many times i heard drs say "if you get strep ONE more time this year we need to take your tonsils out!" guess who got it more and had to wait until steroids stopped working for me. I didnt get them removed until I was 17 because they would not stop swelling and drs were confused at how i was talking and not in pain.

Yes! CONSTANT strep throat as a kid, had impetigo on my face from ages 12-17 (strep on skin) and developed CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy) in my mid-20’s.

I got it at least 2-3 times a year. Now have lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, ehlers danlos, pots, Raynauds. That’s the ones I know about and heart surgery next week

I got strep frequently as a very young child and got my tonsils taken out at 2 years old. I never got it again until last year, when I was 30. I have EDS, MCAS, and probably POTS. I also have OCD and PCOS (metabolic syndrome)

I usually got strep 5 times a year until the threaten to take my tonsils out and then it went away until I was 22.. that was the last time I got strep

I am a strep carrier. I have never had a throat infection and I have an auto immune disorder. I also still have my tonsils.

I have guttate psoriasis and get strep all the time. And when I get it, it gets really bad and my psoriasis comes back worse each time. I also have asthma and I suspect EDS due to my hypermobility and tissue paper scars
