I live in Coastal NC & these comments telling tourist to stay away are ridiculous. Majority of the towns in Eastern NC wouldn't be able to survive without seasonal tourists & the same goes for the western part of the state.

Com on now we have enough out of towners as it is we really don’t need more 😫 the only thing you will find here right now is orange cones and dirt and leave needing new tires and an alignment due to the crappy road construction that’s going on bc they have no clue what they are doing.

I wasn't raised on South Toe but I was in Pensacola and Bowlens Creek. so I spent my time in that water. Its some of the best swimming in Yancey Co.😁
