Kids sit in their class lines in the gym. We have signs with your child’s name that you put on your windshield. A teacher goes out with a walkie and reads the names in the order their parents are in line. Staff brings them out in that order to your car. Works so well!

That’s how ours is as well. It is SO inconvenient. Apparently it’s because they don’t want to pay the teachers overtime to stay after and walk the kids out for a pick up line.

At the charter school where my grandkids go they give us a sign with the child’s name and teacher and we wait in a car rider line so we don’t get out of the car. They call the student when we get there.

Our school uses an app. You check in on the app when you enter the car line and the student is dismissed from the class to meet you in the line.

My son’s school we pull up in our cars and they bring the kid out to the car - they even open the car door for the kids.

I always say if your district has bussing- use it! I live in Cincinnati and so many schools can not afford bussing and it's a hard situation for a lot of parents

That’s really interesting and weird 😂 idk I feel like drop off would be the same as pick up I mean in Florida it’s that way, you can either walk them or do the car line and at the end of the day they do the car line

In our elementary school, they have the older kids helping out bringing the younger kids to the cars never have the parents parked to go in. That’s crazy. They’ll be so much traffic.

We get a car tag we go through the line, they have someone text people inside to say who is coming out next. The kids stay inside until they’re up next.

Putting my two older kids in the bus this year was life changing for me. Last year my two babies had to wake up in the middle of every nap for me to wait in line in a hot car. Now I get a full 3 hours to myself and then my kids just walk in the front door. It’s great!

Here in Saudi Arabia, in all of our schools, our parents would just call us from the microphone that’s outside the building and we would just hear them

I’m a teacher, and we have a strict pickup procedure. All teachers and EAs have a job. We have a drive through where a teacher will radio for the kid and the kid will be walked with a staff member to the car (K-5). If the parent parks, they must turn off the car, walk to get their child from their teacher and the escort them to the car. k-5th. No kids are allowed in the parking lot without an adult no matter their age
