the phone ban is just so poorly written. like yes i get banning phones in class but also in lunch and passing periods 😭 and not just phones too but watches, airpods, and LAPTOPS??? plus what’s the point when schools already had no phone policies that were fine before the law

Genuinely as someone who works in a school and catches kids with phones all the time, as long as your being safe about it and put it away when being reminded to pay attention in class, no problem. keep it.

I have serious heart issues, I cant text my mom about them or anything for updates and if I feel it getting worse because the school refused to give me a pass to use my phone, I was hospitalized for a month because of this and a medical emergency I couldnt get help for mid school day

I live in deep republican territory and I have a speech in my school today about why Texas is not longer great, you should’ve seen the looks I got, but I definitely made some people think about it which was the goal, education was one of my biggest points, I’m only 14 btw
