@thecharlotteobserver: Nearly two months into an investigation into Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent Crystal Hill, school board members said Hill will return to her role. The board has remained tight-lipped about its investigation ever since it placed Hill on paid leave June 17. Its only stated explanation was that it was conducting an investigation into “matters involving administrative and operational oversight.” CMS Chair Stephanie Sneed read from a statement at the conclusion of Tuesday’s school board meeting making the announcement about Hill’s return. Hill is expected to be back at work on Wednesday. ✍️: Rebecca Noel 📹️: Zaire Breedlove
