I went here years ago around the time that a lot of tourist were dying “ because of the alcohol “. When we got there it was guys that seemed to be working at the resort that was OVERLY friendly and I was pretty young at this time so I just thought they were being nice or innocently flirting. He kept trying to separate me from my group but I wasn’t going for that. However, I was in the pool and he asked if he could take some nice pictures of me and he would send them to me on IG. I said sureee 😍 thinking he was just doing a good deed. I gave him my IG and let him take the pictures. Some how ..I guess by the grace of God he accidentally added me to his group chat where I was able to scroll up and he was sending updates to several men about women he was interacting with at the resort. He had added my picture and gave them a description of me, where I was staying, what I had on, my age and who I was there with. Scared the HELL out of me. I stayed close to my group the whole entire trip. Not even the bathroom by myself after that.

Wow, I went over 4 to 5 years ago, and I truly believe that if I hadn’t switched rooms with my cousin and husband, I wouldn't be here to tell the story today . Long story short, I had a room pretty much in the back of the resort, and it was beautiful ( upstairs that had a bathroom, and it had a door that led to an outside jacuzzi). But the first day of checking in, my room gave me the impression it would be for a couple, so my cousin said you should let us have this room. Her room was pretty standard, but without much pushback, I let my cousin and her husband have it, and on more than 1 occasion ( I believe it was 2 or 3), they had a worker walk in the room at weird times of the night, acting as if they were called to the room, but no one called them in there . I believe they thought I was in there alone .

I went for a wedding…my boy and I got there a day early…we asked the staff what there was to do….he told us we could go to the pool part at the resort next door because they’re owned by the same company…we did had a blast…and when we were walking back…we got surround by 20 officers in the beach….they threatened to lock us up if we didn’t give them 5 hundo…mind you if we got locked up…we’d know no one in the country and if they didn’t give us access to a phone we’d just simply vanish. They did all that for $500. Then when we got back to our resort we told the front desk…and that employee was never seen again and they had no idea who he was even though he was dressed like everyone else with a name tag and all…with all the staff….smh traveling can be sketchy af.

My friend was horribly SA’d at a nice all-inclusive resort in punta Cana by an employee who cornered her in the gym. She’s very religious and it gave her the worst existential crisis. It was terrible.

Me and my husband got spiked in Punta Cana and we didn’t even have no alcohol at all we were feeling so sick and dizzy and drunk all of the sudden. We went in our room and locked the doors because we had a feeling something was off.

I am still haunted to what happened to a couple from my hometown in Sweden in DR. So the wife was murdered and the husband found her in the hotel. The police took him in for questioning and then he was found dead in his cell 2 days later. The police claim it was a heart attack.. Their kids are still seeking justice for this. It was in a well known all inclusive resort in Punta Cana btw called Riu palace Macao. :)

Had a literal horror story happen here back in 2023 - Got drugged (by the staff) and the staff was doing everything in their power to get my boyfriend to leave me alone in our room. Would never recommend this resort to anyone.

we went to punta cana YEARS ago. i was very young. i was around 4 or 5, my brother was i think 7-8. we arrived at the hotel, and i remember it being so beautiful in my eyes. my mom and dad were in awe. but things turned eerie fast. the people at the resort kept trying to touch me and hold me. like give me hugs and when they would, they wouldn’t let go of me sometimes and my mom would start panicking until my dad stepped in. the one kept saying my hair was so pretty and long and anyone would be lucky to have this hair. it was getting creepy. and then we went to dinner one night, my mom and dad walked away to go to the budge bar, my brother and i stayed back at the table. my mom had ordered an alcoholic beverage and the guy or waiter come up to us and stirred my moms drink and walked away. we told my mom about it and she asked for a bottle of water and when she didn’t want her drink they got VERY angry. my mom didn’t eat on the trip. she lost 15 pounds. my dad barely ate. we had to use buddy system at all times. it was a bad experience and very creepy

Resorts are owned by cartels if none of you knew. They own a good % of them that’s why it’s scary and you’re always being watched. It’s not always an incident but just know they own the resorts and watch what you say or see when staying at one.

my sister and her boyfriend were drugged at an ibero star in punta cana. she was left in the ocean and had seaweed in her lungs or something like that. her bf was found a mile off the resort in a bush we had family ties to a security team of a very popular american sports team (idk if i should say) and the security beat tf out of the bartender until he admitted they drug an entire bottle and act like they are opening a new one. the guy also said they have people at the airport look for tourists to do this to, then they call the bartenders and let them know like “2 americans coming in” and that’s how they pick targets
