🎶🎵🎶❤️🤟🏻🎶🎵🎶 I’m so proud of how far I’ve come! The personal growth I’ve made has been profound. I refuse to be the victim of judgement! There was a time people judged me because I was a divorced, single mom, with a lot of baggage. I was still judged after I remarried and moved forward with my life in a positive direction. No one knows what you’ve been through. Not even if you scream it from the highest mountain top. So just be you and don’t worry about what others think or say. Don’t stay in the shadows of hatred, step out into the rays of sunshine and thrive. Life is too short to let others dim your light. ✨☀️✨❤️✨☀️✨

Disclaimer: I do not own these photos. Photos are sourced online and used for retail history/archive purposes. Location: Lawrence Township, New Jersey Opened: 1975 Status: Open and active Address: 3320 U.S. Highway 1 Developer: The Kravco Company Original anchors: Bamberger’s and Sears Current department-store anchors: Macy’s and JCPenney Not every older mall is dying. Quaker Bridge Mall opened in 1975 along Route 1 in Lawrence Township and became one of central New Jersey's major regional shopping destinations. Bamberger's and Sears anchored the original mall. Hahne's and JCPenney joined in 1976, giving Quaker Bridge four major department stores during its early years. For generations of shoppers, Quaker Bridge became part of everyday life. Department-store trips. Holiday crowds. Weekend shopping. Meeting friends. Walking both levels of the mall. The anchor names changed with the retail industry. Bamberger's became Macy's in 1986. Hahne's eventually gave way to Lord & Taylor. Sears remained for decades before closing in 2018, while Lord & Taylor disappeared during the chain's nationwide liquidation in 2020. Quaker Bridge itself kept adapting. A major renovation during the early 2010s modernized the property and added resturants and a new food court. Simon Property Group's development records specifically listed Quaker Bridge for mall renovations, resturant additions and a food-court project. Today, the mall is still very much alive. Simon currently describes Quaker Bridge as a two-level super-regional shopping center with more than 90 stores. Its lineup includes Macy's, JCPenney, Apple, Coach, Michael Kors, Sephora, H&M, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Pop Mart, BoxLunch, Hot Topic and many others. And Quaker Bridge is finding other ways keep people coming through the doors. Trading cards have become one surprisingly big part of that. The Big Show Card Show held a two-day event at Quaker Bridge in July 2026 with around 120 vendor tables featuring Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece and other collectibles. Another two-day Quaker Bridge show is scheduled for October 3–4. Round 2 Gaming, located inside the mall, also regularly hosts Pokémon, Magic and other tabletop gaming events. Its September 2026 calendar included recurring Pokémon TCG casual-play events and league competitions. That kind of community activity matters. While many malls from the 1970s have lost nearly every national retailer or disappeared entirely, Quaker Bridge has managed to remain a destination by combining traditional mall shopping with restaurants, specialty retailers, collectibles and events. It has lost anchors. It has changed. But it hasn’t become a dead mall. More than 50 years after opening, people are still shopping its corridors, attending events and creating new memories in the same building generations before them visited. Sometimes mall history isn’t about documenting what disappeared. Sometimes it’s about documenting the ones that survived. Special thanks to @Patrick Thomas Reisert for suggesting Quaker Bridge Mall on my Oxford Valley Mall post and telling me about the trading-card events there. Do you remember Quaker Bridge Mall? #retailapocalypse #deadmall #deadmalls #urbex #abandonedplaces
