I hate how shes reduced to just her shoes. I used to do professional dancing before my iune system started attacking my legs and made it near impossible for me to continue, but i remmeber we didnt use pointe in the lessons i did because pointe shoes can break, fracture and even reshape your foot to the point it can be deformed. Her wearing heals with the flat edge is much safer for her. Plus. Its a fantasy game with elements from ancient history. In ancient times ballerinas and dancer would have worn more heel like shoes. There is absolutely nothing wrong ekth the shoes she wears. its such a mini detail and all the people who are getting mad are people who have clearly never done ballet. I've seen current day ballerinas defend Odette's design. That says a lot

im not even in the genshin fandom anymore but its all i see😭 obviously odette’s character isn’t perfect, her character design is meh… i’ll admit, but there is also a place to admit that the writing of these character’s are quite well in regards to representing terrible things in our system. same applies to sandrone and a lot of other characters, we should be applying this amount of hate on genuine terribly written characters. genshin/hoyoverse is a shit company but they do well with the writing. i honestly dont get why people just leave the game/fandom if they hate it so much as i did💔💔 too much complaints and little interaction on media literacy

It’s not just ballet culture, it’s most of performer cultures. Singers, Dancers, Actors, etc. they’re all toxic industries and abusive to the performer and most of them have no way out because this is what they love and they don’t know what to do other than that or they simply can’t do anything else so they’re forced to be in that same spot until the people decide they can’t do it anymore.

I did ballet when I was little, I think 2-5 maybe…? Not too long but I’m 18 now. I have an ED, and I miss ballet sometimes. I see myself a lot in Odette, and pulling for her sorta healed little child me :)

I'm ESPECIALLY mad at people saying her disordered thoughts and eating is just ballerina aesthetic and not accurate to ANOREXIA. Unless it's stated, IN HER DAMN CHARACTER PROFILE, that she has anorexia, those people are genuinely on something else entirely!!! Her disordered eating is accurate! Because it's HER disordered eating!! Like my God!
