Patrick planted it in her head that she did it ! She believes she did because thats what he told her when he checked on her laying outside after jumping after the failed attempt of the wrists and neck, and the amount medicine that was in her, HE TOLD HER SHE DID THATS WHY IN HER MIND SHE THINK SHE DID.... What if Patrick tried to set it up to look like she killed herself because of her mental health struggles. Somehow the kids saw something or heard something and he had to get rid of the witnesses, but maybe he hesitated on the baby and that's why the baby was able to be revived for a while.
