If you think sending Paul Skenes down is an answer then you have no idea how baseball works— the dude still has a sub 4 era, which is still wonky if you think about it with how poorly his D has played behind him… he is probably hurt or he’s trying to learn how to take a little off so he can get longer through more innings but he also only threw 65 pitches in 5 innings so that presents a scary question— but Triple-A is such a bad take

his sinker and changeup are bad this year, and he's throwing them more. plus scouting on him is better. it's oversimplification to say his velo is down. he's getting more swings outside the zone. and his babip is way up. it's luck and some adjustments that need to be made. he's still very good.
