@dmanemusic: Who is in the wrong here? The couple for expecting a quiet lake? Or the boaters for not staying quiet during the wedding ceremony? #wedding #WeddingDisaster #MobileDJ PS. The couple didn't seem to care.
It’s not the venue’s fault and obviously the water is public but who tf sees a wedding and feels the need to yell and interrupt it?

This comment section is wild. It’s not about them passing by briefly, even if it might mess up a few photos. It’s about the yelling! Of course the couple knows they don’t have a right to exclusive access to a public waterway, but since when do we not have a general expectation of common courtesy from one another?

It’s a public water way, your signs mean nothing. Want a private wedding rent a private venue.

I'm sorry you thought that getting married at a lake would be peaceful.... I'm literally planning my wedding at a public state park/lake.. I fully expect other people to be there and enjoy their day just like I am enjoying mine. what i dont expect is for them to be in the literal area i have paid money for to be private for my wedding.... but the water itself is never in that equation....

Do those kayakers have every right to go through there? Yes. Should they have shown even the smallest modicum of respect? Yes.

Hold a wedding on a public lake and then complain about enjoying the day. 🤔🤔🤔

It’s not about privacy or ownership of the waterway, we used to have some decency in this country. These comments show how self centered this society is. Sad.

Then don’t have a wedding on a public body of water and expect privacy

just because it's a public lake doesn't mean people need to make a point of being a$$holes. treat others how you expect to be treated.

on one hand, it's a public area and you can't be upset about them being in the area. on the other, that was very rude of them to interrupt the ceremony. I could see cheering at the reception, but this is inconsiderate.

Yeah nothing wrong with being on the lake, honestly don’t really care that they went past the roped off area. The yelling just to be disruptive and disrespectful is where they are dead wrong.

Well that's the unfortunate thing that happens when you have your wedding in a public place.

you want privacy? get a venue on a lake thats fully on its own property only way to ensure nobody uses it

I had my wedding on the water too. Someone rode by in a boat in the middle of the ceremony and yelled “Don’t do it!”
