I struggled immensely on my own while my parents helped my other siblings. They told me they never helped me because they knew I could always figure it out on my own. They said they didn’t have to worry about me, but the others needed more help. Don’t do that to your kids.

My mom tries to solve every emotional conversation with money or things. Sounds wonderful on the surface, but it’s truly awful. Or on the flip side I get completely non emotional answers to big issues I’m having.

I ended up homeless due to a stalker and I am living with family. I am not doing well mentally. It is like being back but as an adult in a childhood home. Disappointed parents, imposing on their time. I am struggling.

Whew child!! I live 3 states away and they still call me to fix something/send something when the whole family lives in the same city/state. Mom has 3 siblings still living and my siblings and still live there

How did this find me? I feel like my family, even my mother, truly loved and catered to my brothers. I moved away and when I have needed help it was always “you chose to move away”. But growing up, I was always told I had to take care of myself, they couldn’t take care of me forever. I do just that. I take care of myself, my kids, by myself. Why am I now punished for doing what they told me to do?
