I admit, at first I was a bit defensive about your videos. I liked the idea of being special because of my ADHD. But you brought the facts and while I think there are still traits that might be an advantage, I have come to terms with being just a normal person with ADHD.

I think there’s a further danger here. This content takes ordinary metacognition and trauma responses, wraps them in a spiritual explanation, and delivers that narrative to people who may already be in a mental health crisis. It could feel explanatory without being truthful or stabilising. When that framing is repeatedly reinforced through algorithms, it may weaken reality testing and create the conditions for a much wider mental health crisis.

This reaction video is self-important condescending nitpicking, and much of it isn’t even right. Metacognition can reasonably be called a "rare ability" in the sense that stronger metacognitive ability is associated with higher intelligence. Likewise, lacking an inner monologue can plausibly be considered a cognitive deficit, not merely a neutral difference. His lay explanation gets the point across perfectly well. He did not present himself as an expert, and non-experts are allowed to explain ideas in ordinary language without qualifying every sentence like an academic paper. TikTok is not a scientific journal.
