box dye in black= no other chemicals. or if youve had bleach before it is under the black. salons and stylist carry insurance for this reason

I’m a hair stylist of 40 years and there is more to this story. I have black hair, bleach out in sections to add red and I have given myself body waves with no issues. But I take every precaution to do so. I wonder if a pre treatment was used, if a perm for color treated hair was used ( acid based) how long the timing was set for! And if solution was rinsed out good, dried properly before the neutralizer. A stand test ( if done right the day before not same day ) would have definitely shown if it was safe! Again a lot more to this story

Hairstylist here, honestly would have never permed her hair with what looks like black box dye on her hair, stylist and salon could have avoided all this negative publicity! I do feel for the client, I’m sorry this happened to you!

She was refunded, the stylist was fired the whole salon had been doxed. This lady lied about multiple details about the whole ordeal. The salon should sue her

She did tell her she had box color on her hair as well. You do NOT perm over box dye. The stylist should have known that. Her hair was beautiful before this mess.

First thing the hair was already damaged. So the stylist should not put chemical on the hair. Without testing the porosity of the hair strands is weak.one can see that her hair is brittle.
