Kafka to me is the feeling of being trapped inside a reality that never explains its own rules. It’s alienation guilt without a clear crime waking up one day and realizing you’ve become a stranger to yourself. His darkness isn’t just sadness it’s the absurdity of trying to find meaning in a world that refuses to give you one. Kafka makes the ordinary feel terrifying, because sometimes the most horrifying thing isn’t a monster but realizing that no one is coming to explain what’s happening to you.

Hiya, Kafka boy! I recently started looking into his work and began with “The Metamorphosis” a little while ago. Funny enough, just today my teacher asked us to start reading “The Trial”, and I actually bought a copy and started reading it a few days ago already. I have to say, I’m not particularly excited about it so far or about the way the story is developing. I’m also aware of the general opinion surrounding the book, especially when it comes to its ending, haha.
I hope you can help me dig a little deeper into Kafka’s work, since you know much more about him than I do!

In the Penal Colony is absolutely worth reading. It might be his best work in my opinion.

investigations of a dog is such a wondeful piece that allows you to perfectly imagine what's going on. it's a first over the metamorphosis when it comes to imagery. I've read it over five years ago and haven't forgotten its beauty.

I never realised how many books and stories Kafka actually had I've listened to the metamorphosis and really liked it and found it very intriguing so I'm definitely going to check out some of his other books

I've read The Metamorphosis and The Trial, and I'm planning to read Letters to Milena next. Kafka has a peculiar ability to make the ordinary feel uncanny and the absurd feel disturbingly familiar. Have you read Letters to Milena?

Me siento mal cuando a veces hablo con alguien que ha leído a Kafka porque nunca he leído un solo libro de él, nunca he tenido la oportunidad y no sé con cuál empezar.

I think that's why his style is unique, cuz what he wrote was written to be burnt not read, so in some way we are reading his naked thoughts not t what he intended for us to see
