Honestly them calling it "the baby" instead of its name, or my daughter/son- plus the complete emotional disconnect about it says that they don't want or love that baby. I don't understand at all, but it sounds like adoption is the best possible outcome here, before one of them abandons them somewhere randomly or harms them 😭
