There is always a small base chance to trigger capturing radiance, even if your previous wish also triggered it, or you previously won your 50/50. You were just extremely lucky to trigger it since the base chance is 0.018% so extremely low. The description for the triggering conditions has been updated if you want to check it out!

It only appears after you’ve lost your 50/50 twice in a row for example you get Qiqi, then Yae Miko, Then mizuki, then sandrone. They would cause capturing radiance. Happened to me too

Its because you lost your 50/50 first and then got sandrone pity wise thats why you arent guaranteed and you wouldve lost your 50/50 on odette but didnt bc of radiance
