It's probably because of vocal performance! Our vocal cords adjust themselves to fit our tone of singing, while singing opera. We sometimes force our voice to sing properly and not lose control, I have the same situation as Vodyanitsa. My voice is naturally soft and high but while singing similar to opera, my voice deepens. Vodya is a professional opera singer and therefore, most opera songs are deep and mature. Her voice cords adjust to sing her song evenly and make it sound like normal opera singing.
