@eelisewilson: I had no idea what Bells Palsy was until I was diagnosed! The left half of my face went paralysed within a matter of hours. My eye couldn’t close, my face couldn’t move, I couldn’t feel my mouth or that side of my tongue. Everything on that side was paralysed. 4 days before flying to Greece I got diagnosed. They couldn’t give me a time frame for how long this would last, usually can be 3-6 months sometimes longer sometimes shorter. It’s usually caused from stress and being ran down… so doctors orders were to go sit on the Greek islands and relax. I did 2 rounds of acupuncture before leaving as well as steroid medication.
