Environmental conditions remain generally favorable for development, characterized by low vertical wind shear of 10–15 knots, warm sea-surface temperatures of 29–30°C, abundant atmospheric moisture, and strong equatorward outflow aloft. Only a modest tightening of the circulation is needed for the system to be classified as a tropical depression. Most global and ensemble guidance indicates that 94W will have a limited window to consolidate before the circulation becomes increasingly elongated and eventually opens into a trough. The system is currently embedded within a broader trough extending from Taiwan toward the Mariana Islands.
