WARNING ⛔️: You CANNOT look at it directly as its a silent eye damager Solar Eclipse will repeat TODAY on Wednesday 12th August 2026 Starts 6pm and ends 8pm (UK time) 7pm ish is the full eclipse The Moon will cover the light of the sun. Allah hu akbar A reminder, that both the sun and moon, are under the power and control of Allah and this phenomenal sign reflects this boldly. When this happened before, Muhammad saw did not gather with the sahaba ra with viewing glasses to stand in open ground to stare at the sun. Instead, He turned to astaghfar, asking Allah for Forgiveness and prayed 2 nafl salatul kusuf and busied in dua, zikr, and repenting (though he was pure. Hence, solely as a beautiful example for us) MashAllah. May Allah bless his soul and status to the fullest. Ameen You are encouraged to give charity. So hand something out, add to a charity box, or make that transaction today!!! This is not a matter to take lightly. So do not busy yourself during this time in wasteful things like the careless instead, even if its for 5 mins minimum during that 2 hrs, ask for forgivess and khair and make dua. Do your 2 nafl salatul Kusuf before your Asr farz. If you can busy your tongue even in whisper ask forgiveness and glorify/praise Allah (zikr) and make dua for everything and everyone. If you cant speak, then you can busy your heart in repentance, zikr and silent duas, at least. Primarily, If you can make wudu and pray 2 rakah salatul Kusuf during its peak, then do so and aim to please Allah, for pleasing our eyes and nafs is contrary to the actual goal of life; pleasing Allah. If you ignore this good advice who knows if you will experience another eclipse ie the chance to do as Muhammad saw did but in your very lifetime again? this happens after 26 ish yrs. Dont worry, by busying yourself in the correct manner you would have missed nothing because you can always watch the highlights later. However, if you watch the whole event unfold, you would have lost the chance of a lifetime to do the right thing at the right time. Let this eclipse show you that after every temporary darkness there shall be light! And with that… May Allah forgive us all.
