@fisherzhangs_in_china: I was genuinely upset to see so much litter scattered across this beautiful countryside, just a short distance from where we live in northeast China. And as much as I’d love to say this is uncommon, unfortunately it isn’t. I really hope more of us can help raise awareness about protecting the environment — not just by picking up after ourselves, but by being willing to speak up when we see others littering too. I know publicly confronting strangers isn’t always the Chinese way, but sometimes change requires us to hold each other accountable. China has developed at an incredible pace, and as the country continues to rise, I hope protecting its beautiful natural environment becomes an even bigger part of that progress. China has the opportunity to set a powerful example for other developing nations — showing that economic development and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. 🇨🇳🌱 We all have a part to play. ❤️ #china #chinalife #chinatravel #chinaexpat #foreignerinchina

Just post this video on Douyin, and within two days at most, the local government will take action to clean up the area. The video will also reach more people visiting nearby, helping raise awareness about environmental protection.

Unfortunately it happen everywhere… in France it’s the same maybe even worst… those kind of behavior can only change slowly… China have 1.4 billion people it’s not going to happen overnight… anyway it’s good to remind everyone and not just Chinese people that we should take care of our environment everywhere we go and not just our small backyard!!

Unfortunately I see a lot of this in the countryside now in the UK, down in Devon, such a shame as you never used to see litter everywhere but it’s becoming a much bigger problem. Lots of councils even removing bins because no funding to empty them, so the issue is made even worse.

China has developed at an extremely fast pace. Due to limited educational resources in the past, many elderly people didnt have access to systematic schooling. Some daily behavioral differences come from different living eras rather than poor personal morality. As generations go by, universal education and widespread civility campaigns are helping the whole society become more civilized, and I believe things will keep getting better and better😋😋😋

Tell your missus to email the town council for this district and within a couple of days at most, the litters will be removed. Suggest that the town officers put up signboards to warn public members of the joint responsibilities in keeping the park clean. A fine of RMB 300 will be sufficient to deter future offenders. 👍
