*Q - What is the prayer that is offered during a solar eclipse?* *A -* The prayer offered during a solar eclipse is known as Salat al-Kusuf (صلاة الكسوف). A solar eclipse is one of the great signs of Allah’s power and majesty. Prior to Islam, polytheistic religions carried out abhorrent rituals and acts of worship at the time of an eclipse. *Islam teaches that an eclipse is not caused by the birth or death of any human being. Rather, when such a sign appears, Muslims should turn sincerely to Allah through prayer, remembrance, repentance, seeking forgiveness, du‘a, and charity.* The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ و الہ وسلم said _*“The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone. When you see an eclipse, call upon Allah and perform prayer until it clears.”*_ [Bukhari] It is a recommended act to prayer *2 units of prayer at the time of a solar eclipse.* _*The 2 units of prayer will be prayed as any other 2 units of prayer with the intention of offering the eclipse prayer.*_ Whilst the eclipse is ongoing, it is rewarding to remain in the remembrance of Allah عز و جل And Allah knows best

The eclipse is between asr and magrib. I thought it was haram to pray any extra prays before Magrib. Am I allowed to pray Salah Kusuf before Magrib ?
