@cali.hoss: Mobility can be understood through the difference between active and passive range of motion. 1. Active range is how far you can move using your own strength and control. 2. Passive range is how far you can move with external assistance. 3. Mobility training aims to increase active range. 4. Flexibility training mainly increases passive range. 5. The most important area to train is your end range, where your active movement currently stops. To improve mobility, focus on three things: 1. Strengthen your end range with isometric and dynamic exercises. 2. Improve control by adding more challenging or complex movements. 3. Increase your passive range through stretching, assistance, or resistance training through a large range of motion. In simple terms: create more range, get strong in that range, and learn to control it. \#MobilityTraining, #Flexibility, #RangeOfMotion, #StrengthTraining, #Movement

It’s fascinating how for this entire diagram, we stayed so far away from the natural limit. This matters to me as a hypermobile person. Because in recent years I have found that passive stretching doesn’t give me very much, but strength training within my already large range of motion is decreasing my pain a lot.

Wow that's so helpful! I noticed that you have a slight hyperextension of the knee. Try to keep a slight bend at the knee and see how that feels. As a hypermobile person, your video helped me understand the mechanics of my custom body more than any others
