with a fast let down can swapping to quickly cause a dip in weight gain? after an LC told me to start swapping breasts instantly her poop turned green and she stopped Gaining weight...I went back to block feeding and her poop is back to yellow...is that a good indicator shes gaining again?? 😭

There’s always milk everywhere 😭 I have to have towels near by every feed. He chokes and sometimes barfs cause he’s getting shot down the throat by the let down

My baby learned to handle the fast let down but she gets fuzzy mid feed.. I believe she just wants to comfort suck the breast and she gets frustrated and tired of the fast flow, it’s a nightmare 😔

I did a weighted feed today (with a nurse so im not sure how accurate) and my 3 week old got 2.5 oz on one side and .5 on the other and the nurse made it seem like that’s an acceptable amount for now but not “sustainable in the long run” because baby will “need more and that amount will only satisfy her for maybe an hour in the future” this has made me so incredibly anxious

I do these things, it’s still so fast and he seems to be more comfortable at the bottle with less tummy issues but I don’t wanna give up BF completely

My baby starts to suckle, pulls away, and there is literally a stream of milk coming out that shoots out over about a foot. He hates it so much because he is constantly choking

Anytime I pump even a little it throws my supply off and creates the worst letdowns 😭 so I’ve just given up giving her the occasional bottle now

Yes! I had a fast let down as well with a baby who would get choked up, it was so scary especially as a FTM! But with time, baby seemed to mature and figure it out and it got much better as well once my milk regulated! 🫶🏻

Is it normal my 3 weeks old old can go a 5 hour stretch at night without eating he did get back to birth weight pretty quick his docter said it’s okay if he goes 5-6 hours without feeding from 12-7am he only eats twice but then after 7 he eats about every 2-3 hours

Baby is now 3 months, and out of nowhere he has gotten very squirmy while nursing. Nothing in my diet has changed. He is on famotidine for reflux. I thought gas but he hasn’t been very gassy and he’s perfectly fine when not nursing… any ideas?

I keep hearing people say let dad or someone else introduce the bottle.. can you talk ab this? Is it super important? Mine and my babies breastfeeding journey has been so smooth i dont want anything to mess it up. He is 4 weeks 5 days and ive gotten dad to try twice.

This is how my nursing journey ended with me exclusively pumping. I had super overactive letdown and my IBCLC told me to pump 2-3 oz prior to feeding my baby. Now I’m dealing with a huge oversupply.
