I get what he’s saying. It’s not about spending money on your girl. The relationship itself needs money. You have to see each other, get around, eat, go places and make plans. Love doesn’t cost anything, but being in a relationship does come with costs. That’s just reality.

I totally get him, because it’s not about buying sex or anything like that. It’s about being unable to act on how you feel financially in a relationship. You want to do this and that for your partner, take her out, spoil her sometimes, create experiences together, but when money is tight, you end up settling for the bare minimum simply because you can’t afford more. That can make you lose interest in relationships altogether.
