Just a couple kids playing together doesn’t seem like a big deal right? Not too us ! Honestly even just at the beginning of the year our 4 year old with ASD would happily hide away in our room watching tv or play his iPad anytime his cousins would come over as he would get so overwhelmed and anxious. He hated them hugging him or trying to be near him. Over the past couple of months he has been engaging so much more with his cousins and not just them but even with his peers at school 🥹 As an ASD mum, you just don’t understand how much this ‘little thing’ means and how huge of a milestone it is too just see your kid running around with other kids 🤩
